Must Be a Certified Copy from the Court
You must submit an "Original Certified Copy" issued by the Clerk of Courts in the South Dakota county where the divorce was granted. A notarized photocopy is not acceptable.

Complete the Request Form
South Dakota requires a completed "Authentication/Apostille Request Form" to be submitted with your request. This form is mandatory.
Correct Payment
The fee is $20.00 per apostille, plus a $5.00 processing fee per request. Payment must be made by check, cashier's check, or money order payable to the "Secretary of State". Cash is not accepted. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return shipping.
