Certified by the Clerk of the Court
The document must be a certified copy issued and signed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court (or a Deputy Clerk) from the county where the divorce was granted. The signature must be an original, and the document must bear the court's seal. The Florida Department of State verifies this signature against their records.
Complete the Request Form
You must submit a fully completed "Apostille/Authentication Request Form" with your application. This form is mandatory and provides your contact and return shipping instructions.
Include Correct Payment
The fee is $10.00 per apostille/certification, plus a $1.00 per document processing fee (total of $11.00 per document). Payment must be made by check or money order payable to the "Florida Department of State." Cash is not accepted.
Provide Pre-paid Return Shipping
You must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or a pre-paid shipping label for the return of your documents. The Department will not return documents without this.
